Missing Ashton couple

Right you are Tina, here goes!
Christina Cummings born 1886 in Liverpool, married Paul Joseph Daly, born 1886 also Liverpool, in 1908.
By 1914 they had four children, Margaret, born 1909, Mary, born 1910, Christina, born 1912 and Paul Joseph, born 1914.
Family legend has it that they went to Australia with Christina's sister, Margaret Ellen Tester. I have the passenger list for the Otranto in 1926 which lists Margaret Ellen but no sign of the Dalys. I have an address for Margaret Ellen in East Sydney, Darlinghurst, from the 1930 electoral roll. Margaret Ellen returned to England on the Largs Bay in July 1930. She revisited Australia on the Balranald in November 1933 and returned to England yet again in 1935.
The only trace I have been able to find of the Dalys was a Christina Daly also registered in Darlinghurst but with a daughter called Phyllis Christina. No sign of any other Dalys. They must be somewhere!
That's as much as I have on my great great aunt Christina. Her sister, Margaret Ellen lived to a ripe old age and I remember her well - a formidable lady.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Spot on Tina. Yes, Thomas Cummings born Dublin 1842 and Jane Dunne, born Dublin 1848. The surname seems to have been Cummins originally but acquired a 'g' somewhere along the line. Thomas was a ship painter.

Not much headway sorry.
There's a Paul Joseph Daly bn 1914 who died aged 70 in Lpool.
Perhaps he didn't go to Oz??

Added: Electoral rolls 1930 Phyllis C would have been over 21 so born 1909 circa.

I've found a death in 1954 DARLINGHURST for a Patrick Daly aged 74 yrs.

I did wonder if Paul J Jr came back to England at some point. I found that death but haven't followed it up.
One other piece of info has turned up - it was in the back of my mind (a very dark and dusty place!). I found an entry on the 1930 electoral roll for a Christina Daly at 243 Victoria Street Darlinghurst but no Paul J. It surely can't be coincidence that Margaret Ellen also lived in Darlinghurst?
I can't think how this didn't come to mind sooner - well, I can, it's an age thing! Can you use that entry for any further searching?

I don't suppose there's any chance of finding out when or even if the Dalys applied for passports is there?
Just a thought that's probably going nowhere!

Checked Ancestry, they don't hold records for either Australian or English passport applications, only US, Lithuania, Latvia, France.
