warrington 1841 census look up

hi, i have the 1841 census of sarah leadbeater b 1822 warrington, she is residing with a martha bolton and sarah kay in warrington, however the info i have does not say anything else - where abouts in warrington, where they were born etc, can anyone do a look up for me to find out these things (the full census) i would be very grateful, with thanks.

They were living in Crosley/Cropley/Crofley Street, Warrington, sorry that letter is ambiguous.

In case it is of any help identifying where this road was, the following is the description of Enumeration District 13

School Lane, South side of School Lane ending with Mrs Birchall's house including Mile Yard. Eldon Street and General Street. North side of School Lane beginning with the Grammar School and ending at Crossley's Street including Hopwood Street. East side of Crossley Street, back Crossley Street, East side of Crossley Street to Brick Street, West side of Crossley Street to School Lane.

If you use googlemaps you will be able to see what is left of a small part of Crossley Street parallel to Hopwood Street, off School Brow.

I looked for any of those 3 people from the 1841 in the following 1851, hoping for a clue as to where they were from, without success. It is doubtful, though not impossible, that Sarah Kay and Martha Bolton had married in view of their age. There were a couple that might be Martha and several that might be Sarah, but none in Warrington. So checked for deaths...

Deaths Mar 1848: Kay, Sarah - Warrington - 20 - 940.
Deaths Jun 1849: Bolton, Martha - Warrington - 20 - 828

Their death certs might tell you if they were widows, in which case there's a chance of finding a marriage.

Turned my attention to Sarah Leadbeater..
Marriages Dec 1841 - Warrington - 20 - 677:
LEADBEATER, Sarah married either LEFTON, John or SMITH, James.
There is no Sarah Lefton bn abt 1822 in the 1851 so I assumed she married James Smith. Unfortunately there are a lot of Sarah Smiths bn 1822 +/- 2 years....

Her marriage cert would give you her father's name and occupation, and the names of witnesses, perhaps siblings.

And me being curious.... wondering how you came upon Sarah Leadbeater in 1841? By chance or in a definite line of research?

hi, thanks for that - it is sarah sefton (lefton is a missprint) john sefton was her hubby, i have everything else on her its just that john sefton could not be found on a 1841 census and sarah was with these two ladies - but john also lived in cosley st when they wed and i wondered if they were at the same address thats all, but it looks like he was in the same street but not with sarah. and martha bolton had the same surname as johns supposed mother, i say supposed because i am not sure yet. thanks again, and for the deaths - yes its a definite line - sarah leadbeater was my husbands great great grandmother!
