What name did Alice marry under run 1942?
As the couple were not married I think it's unlikely that she would have known about Mohamed's death if that is him. She wouldn't have been named as next of kin as no relation. Also if he was killed why make up the deportation story?
More likely he went back to sea possibly before the child was born, story made up for birth of child etc. No more is heard of him or allowed and she marries in 1942. Child at Olive Mount.
Wasn't Olive Mount a children's hospital? According to Liverpool Record Office their are records but they are closed for a 100 years. However I would have thought the person concerned would be allowed their own records.

I think Mohamed Hassan probably went back to sea too, my relative was born in 1941, the mohamed DS suggested died May 1942 and Alice married as Bello and a spinster August or september 1942
Both mohamed and Alice listed their surnames on my relatives birth certificate as hassan-bello and both listed at same address and she was still at the same address when she married yun cheong chung. her husband died during the war and when she married again they decided the bring my relative to live with them and her daughter from her marriage to yun c chung. I think she probably made herself appear married with the deportation scenario so she could register the child with a father, especially after she was placed in care herself.
