Once again asking for help trying to solve a mystery William Clough Borris died 14th July 1905 at 28 Lennox street Liverpool he was married to my grandmother at the time i have checked the 1901 and 1911 census
but can not see a link why he is there in 1901 he is with wife Johannah at 86 Hughes street Liverpool is there any way i can check who is living there in 1905 please
28 Lennox Street liverpool
Re: 28 Lennox Street liverpool
I would suspect that the family were actually living at that address, 28 Lennox Street, when he died. They had already moved home twice from the 1881 address 125 Gregson Street; to 123 Gregson Street in 1891, to 86 Hughes Street in 1901.marlow mag wrote:Once again asking for help trying to solve a mystery William Clough Borris died 14th July 1905 at 28 Lennox street Liverpool he was married to my grandmother at the time i have checked the 1901 and 1911 census

After the father William Borris died it looks like the family split up. The wife of 1901, Johanna [formerly Ravenscroft], had been married to William only since 1895 and they had just the one surviving child between them, Reginald L C Borris, bn 1897. There are also 3 children in 1901 from possibly 2 previous marriages for William. The child Reginald stayed with his mother into her next marriage and census. The other children went their separate ways.
The marriage cert for his widow Johanna's next marriage [looks like her 3rd?] might help.
Marriages Dec 1909: BORRIS, Johanna and WHEELER, William Bradburn - Liverpool - 8b - 15.
Borris has been transcribed as Borrim on FreeBMD. Correction submitted.
Have to say though it may not be of help because she and William had a child Alice, bn abt 1907, 2 years before she married the father so their 19** Lundie Street address may be the address for the marriage and the birth.
I think the best probability of seeing a change of address would be the marriages of the older children:
1) Marriages Dec 1904> Borris, Adam Dickson - Liverpool - 8b - 11.
2) Marriages Mar 1907> Borris, Margaret Frances - W. Derby - 8b - 506.
I'd say the 1904 marriage would be the best bet.

You may already have this M.M
birth Reginald Lawrence Cecil Borris
12.5.1896
Living at Kilshaw St bapt 1.6.1896 St Peter's
Could Reginald married under one his stepfather's names?
Perhaps they never tied the knot??
Only 33 when he died, very sad.
Can't find any Borris/Parry births.
