thomas and Mary married in 1845 in Liverpool. on the 1851 census [ HO107; Piece: 2185; Folio: 580; Page: 43; GSU roll: 87190-87192.] they have 3 children Catherine 1846, Mary ann 1847, and Robert 1849. cannot find them in 1861 then in 1871 [RG10; Piece: 3791; Folio: 152; Page: 33.] thomas is a widower with children Elizabeth 1853, Michael 1856 and Sarah jane 1858. thomas is a bricklayer and they lived in the Islington area.
on 1881 Elizabeth is married to James Brownbill with brother Michael living with them.
can anyone locate them on the 1861 census to see if there are any other children and if Mother is still alive? Is the father still alive in 1881?

I don't suppose you have the birth certificates for any of the younger children to check whether the mother of Elizabeth, Sarah Jane and Michael is the same as Mary, the mother of Catherine, Mary Ann and Robert?

I have 2 possible wives for Thomas a marriage to Mary Henry in 1841 at St Nicholas and the one to Mary Astle in 1845 as he was born about 1816/17 in Ireland his family came to Liverpool in 1825/6 as Betsey his sister was born here in 1826. I often look at the variations in spelling because of them not being able to write. if someone could find him in 1861 I would be appreciative.
