Has anyone got a copy of this disc [or discs]? Is there much from Liverpool and district?
I am reluctant to take the plunge if there is not much local material.
Thanks

I agree, although there is a little more for Lancashire as a whole than there was in previous issues, Liverpool is more noticeable by it's absence than it's presence.

Hi
I have a copy of the disc unfortunately it only has Anglican burials - no Catholic or non-conformist burials. Le me know if I can check any names for you.

If your kind offer is still open, I wonder if you would have a look for my grandma please? Her name was Jane Emily Simpson, and I think she died in the 1970's. She was buried in Anfield Cemetery and I am hoping her husband is also there with her. His name was Herbert Christian Simpson.
Thank you very much

Not sure how recent the National Burial Index lists, but I thought I'd look up the death entry in the indexes to help.
There is an Emily Jane Simpson died Q3 1973 Liverpool 10d 694 Birth date given is 19 Apr 1896
There is also a Jane E Simpson died Q4 1966 Liverpool North 10d 199 age 85.

Hi Elizabeth
I have checked the disc but unfortunately no Anne Blundell Johnson.
There are very few records for the whole of Lancashire.
Regards Mary

I wasn't very hopeful but you never know. Thanks very much for checking.
At that time the most likely place of burial for someone in Bootle would be St Mary's C of E church. For their burial records you'd need to try Liverpool RO or Crosby Library. The other possibility is that if they had moved into the area from elsewhere the lady was taken back there for burial.
Do you know where she came from before she was living in Bootle? Bootle St Mary's was only founded in 1827.

Thank you EO and Tina. I made a quick trip to Liverpool and the Record Office while in UK in 2009 and scoured maps to find possible burial places. I could not find her buried at St Mary's Bootle, St Anne's Richmond(where she was married) St Peter's LP(where all the children were baptised), St Mary's Cem Kirkdale or the index of Necropolis. So I had no luck.
The family lived in Porter Street, then Leeds St and to Bootle in 1840-41 where they appeared on the census, address listed as Walton on the Hill, Bootle Cum Linacre.
The address on her death certificate appears to be Norton Rd, Bootle.
I have her daughter's marriage to John Beverley thank you Tina.
Any other suggestions welcome.

Oh that we knew! They were married 13 March 1823 at St Anne's( Richmond). Anne Blundell to Thomas Johnson, both very common surnames in the Liverpool area. She was 47 at death in 1850. I have him, one of 13 Thomas Johnsons in the 1824 Bains Lancashire Directory. I wonder how many TJs did not even rate a listing. His address corresponds with that listed on the baptism of the first 3 children.
We have been unable to take things back any further.

Sorry I forgot about poor old Thomas! Their last child was born February 1842 and Anne is a widow on her death certificate, so he is one of a number of Thomas Johnsons who die between 1841 and 1850. We think the West Derby area.
