Having found entries in the above, how do you
get a copy of the will, if that's possible.

Copies of wills, however short or long, cost £5. This site tells you all about how to apply to the office at York:

Some can be obtained from the Lancashire Record Office, depends on the date, however if you email them to request a quotation they aren't quick to reply, they allow themselves up to 10 days, then it goes to the copying department. Much quicker if you are able to drop in yourself.
