All Saints Church, Liverpool
All Saints Church, Liverpool
Hi,
I'm looking for some info regarding a marriage (Harvey-Dempsey) which took place at All Saints, Liverpool in 1858.
I've found several churches in Liverpool that have (or had) that name - can anyone tell me which ones existed in December 1858?
My best guess is the one that was in Great Nelson Street, but my ancestors were almost certainly RC and I don't think that All Saints was an RC church.
Which parish would All Saints have been in?

Harvey - Dempsey marriage
Hi,
I know this doesn't answer your specific question but this is the GRO reference for that marriage should you decide to get a copy of the marriage certificate.
Marriages Dec qtr 1858:
Dempsey, Bridget and Harvey, Robert - Liverpool - 8b - 132.

It could have been All Saints Great Nelson Street.

All Saints Great Nelson Street was a C of E church. Can you tell us where your ancestors were living in the 1851/1861 censuses?

There is All Saints, Childwall of course, but that would depend on where they were living as otherwise it might be too far out.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
The address given on the marriage certificates were Cazneau Street - Google maps show Cazneau Street and Great Nelson Street as being near to each other, assuming that the current road positions were the same as they are today then I guess the church I'm afer is All Saints, Great Nelson Street.

Just found this thread and wanted to ask if there is a photograph of the church, nothing on Lancashire OnLine Parish Clerk Projects.
Is it the usual request to the record office. I'm getting quite a list together, they'll be fed up of me
My gt uncle got married there in 1891, they gave their address as Gt Homer Street.
Cheers

This search has been raised before on another forum - http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.ph ... 820.0.html seemingly unsuccessfully.
I think the last resort is the LRO, fingers crossed for you.
