1901 census help Alfred E Rudd

Post by simone »

Hi everyone :D

Trying to find Alfred E Rudd b 1875 on the 1901 census. He is with his parents Samuel Richards Rudd and Mary/Margaret Ann Rudd on earlier census

Reckon Samuel has died in 1899, don't know about Mary/Margaret

1891
RG12; Piece: 2991; Folio 15; Page 23
Samuel R Rudd 44 slater & plasterer
Margaret Rudd 42
Alfred E Rudd 16

Have Samuel on earlier census's also :)

I'm ok with Samuel going back another couple of generations.
I think Alfred has died in Manchester in 1907 according to death indexes.

Just can't see him in 1901, don't think he has married :? :?:

Could someone cast fresh eyes over the 1901 for me :?:

Thanks

Your Alfred appears to have joined the Army in 1895. His Army papers are on Ancestry. The last entries read that he was transferred to Manchester for an operation but sadly died there in 1907. I imagine he was overseas in 1901.
