My 3 x Gt grandparents, William Taylor and Mary Cunningham lived at 11 Leece St when they married in September 1837. The marriage cert shows that they were married at 'the Parish Church in the Parish of Liverpool'. Does anyone know if St Lukes(the bombed out church), which is directly opposite where they lived, was known as the parish church back then
Thanks
Sasha

I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong but I dont think the plaque is there now. When they were pedestrianising Church St they took it up and never put it back down again. I keep forgetting to have a look to see if its there now.

It has been outside what was HMV for many years, if you mean the cross in the pavement, but as you say the recent work to create Liverpool One might have moved it.
