1891 Annie age 11, Catherine age 8 & John age 1 are with Williams brother John Park and his wife Mary down as Nieces and Nephew, not sure where Mary who should be 4 and William R who should be 7 are as i can't find William & Alice..seems a bit odd
Hi Colette,
I cant seem to find this one in the 1891 census? I can find a John & Mary, but not with the children of William Robert staying as Nephews/Neices?
also I just got the death cert for William Robert Park.
He died in the Workhouse (16th Nov 1916) so he must have gone there after his lodgings at 37 Crown Street! He was 59.
I have now asked for his Marriage cert so that I can check his parents (William Park from Broughton in Furness & Ann Mckittrick of Liverpool)
More later
Regards

William Robert Park - death.
Hi Dennis,

I'd say it's almost certain he died in the Infirmary attached to the workhouse. They were the NHS of the day providing care and treatment for those less able to pay. Usually the address on the cert is something like 144a Brownlow Hill. It's where two of my relies died [1918 and 1920] and it's the address of the old Brownlow Hill Infirmary [attached to the old workhouse].He died in the Workhouse (16th Nov 1916) so he must have gone there after his lodgings at 37 Crown Street! He was 59.

Hi Dennis
While everyone is cooking their Full English, 1891 census they are listed as Parkes.
John & Mary are the bro and sis in law of John Gerrity, head of family.
The children are listed as Col wrote, as nieces and nephews, which I feel is their relationship to Gerrity & not John & Mary who are their parents.
RG12/2898/86/2
1901 Annie, Catherine, John jr & two other kiddies with their parents John & Mary as Parkes.
I don't think there is a connection here which would also explain why other children are not listed in 1891.
Good luck
Tina

Hi
A very kind Mr Mark McConville from the Liverpool office, gave me the following information about the final resting place of Thomas Park (1891-1964)
Hi Dennis, the information I have is the grave is in west derby cemetery RC 8 grave number 155 there are 3 people buried in this grave the interment numbers are 62163,75585,95427 and the owner of the grave is Thomas Edward park.
Then a gentleman that runs the West Derby Cemetry web site (Peter Welsh), says he will have a look for the grave this weekend.
Its renewed my belief in the Human race, that people can be so kind.
Lets see what we get, maybe finally I will see my Grandfathers grave?
