1894/1911 Directory Look Up Please Ann Draper

What information is held in the directories?

I'm looking for information on an Ann Draper born about 1866 in Liverpool. She should be featured on the 1894 and 1911 directory but not sure what information these directories contain. In 1911 she lived in 20 tenterden street.

Hi

The directories list only the head of the household.
If the person wasn't home at the time the enumerator called round, they are not listed.
Would Ann Draper be a spinster? she could possibly be listed in directories or is this her married name, if so her hubby would the head of household.
Have you found her in 1911 census?

Perhaps re-list your post under Liverpool.

1894 for Tenterden St
Limekiln Lane to Scotland Rd
has just Broderick, Smith, O'Reilly, Newsom & Brassey.

Using the free index for the 1911 census http://www.1911census.co.uk and entering Draper in the surname box and 20 Tenterden Street in the address I can find Ann with two children Bernard and Charles.

Just realised that you probably have the 1911 census - there is likely to be far more information on that than you would find in either a trade or street directory.

Hi, Yeah I have the 1911 census. I just wanted to see if she was living there at the the time of the directory. She appeared to move around quite frequently. She even lived in back bond street in 1893 apparently. She's a complete mystery in our family!!!
