Hi Daggers

There may be a record in the Burial Committee minutes of this. Many years ago I came across American war dead who had been buried in cemeteries in Liverpool being exhumed to be returned to America. I did a bit of research into this and I looked through the minute books. Some of the families wanted their sons graves not to be disturbed. They were mainly buried in Everton Cemetery I promised myself I would visit Everton Cemetery and look for the headstones of those who remained and pay my respects never got round to doing it.

Thanks for that info. I think I shall call it a day on this one, not least because of the Central Library situation.
