Hi ,
Just as a matter of interest ,Genes reunited now as access to 1911 census, cost 7 credits to view family or 3 to view person, its 10 australian dollars for 50 credits or 5 pound, mind you i did get carried away but coverd who i was interested in plus a couple who were not mine but fit the info. The credits are only usable for a week,i cleared 49 in an hour.

Just a thought - you aren't using the 1911 census site by mistake are you?

Hi Mary,
No, I didn't use 1911 site. Bit disappointed but hopefully I'll get on next time.
Best wishes,
Tracey.

As everybody has said, site was very slow but you would expect this with a free offer. I managed to get some information from the 1911 census covering an institution, that would have cost a small fortune for all the pages I covered. Don,t think Mary has anything to apologise for, without her message I wouldn't have known about the offer.

Hi John,
The reason Genes ReU have access is probably because I believe they are now owned by Brightsolid, the same company that owns Findmypast. Haven't checked how their charges for credits compare though. Wouldn't think there would be any difference....

FMP is also offering 14 days free trial - I don't know whether is new or something they do all the time but it might mean you could look at a less congested time

Thanks Mary. This is great news and if England make the final or the 3rd or 4th place play-off it'll mean another 5 free sessions after Friday's one! Come on England!

Just had my free session with no trouble at all - except I'm sure I didn't get 90 minutes! Doesn't time fly when you're having fun. I might be tempted to sign up. Like all family history stuff it's addictive.

They recommend that we should register at least before midnight Thursday, those of us who already were registered are ok. I didn't really think that would preclude anybody who only just registered, but maybe they think it's a way of reducing the number of those logging on.

I've been merrily viewing original census pages but now when I click on view it's taking me to the payment option page. Do we only get a short time to view for free & then have to pay, would anybody know please.
Best wishes,
Tracey

As I understand it you get 90 minutes.

You're lucky to get on.

Have you already been logged in once today? That's all you get for free.
