Hi Tina,MaryA,Elsa-Mary and Tilly,
My apologies for not emailing earlier, have found lots more about T.E.L.Photos of the Submarine U-49 that sank his ship S.S. Sagamore, rescue ship Blue Funnel S.S.Deucalion.Only 7 possibly only 5.
Article about him in the Hansard 1922.Debated in the House of Commons.
The South African Library are looking for the newspaper cutting. The ship that sank the U-49 6 months later was a merchant ship.Sub missed with 2 torpedoes, just as dusk was settling, two look outs spotted them and managed to turn the ship away. Then they started to shoot at each other, but the Merchant ship S.S.British Transport was to fast. The lookouts spotted the submarines bow wave phosphoresense. Some how the Subs look outs weren't wide awake. So the skipper slowed and turned and rammed the Sub amidships and they sank her and all the Crew. The Capt. of the ship was awarded the D,S,O, and a couple of the crew.Plus the Captain was promoted to Lieutenant in the R.N.V.R.Have also found T.E.L. brother Uncle Donny details and am hoping to hear from his son in the next few days he's 5 years younger than me and the last time I saw him
was 1945.So hopefully might have some photo of T.E.L.I was actually out of commission. The one who will be obeyed had me move a Lemon tree I
had in a pot.So I dragged it around to the new position and thought I had pulled my groin slightly. When I woke up the following morning I thought I had put on a lot of weight in the tummy area.I was rushed into Hospital with very badly torn and shredded tummy muscles. So I'm a 120% again and Rita my wife is going to get a removal man next time (I Hope).Thank You again will let you know how I get on with any other things of interest.Best Regards Girls Ken B

Dearly Beloved (hows that for a start) (As they say sermons should be from the beginning to the end very close together)( Hope none of the congregation of the Church I go to are not on this site)
Hi Girls, sorry for being late again, this time I have a nice new titanium left knee which went a bit wrong after 4 days as it got an infection. So they had to operate again. The Prof. who did it is brilliant and has got it just about back in order but it will be another few months due to the hammering the Thigh and calf muscle took.I would love to tell you all the new rellies I have found and will this coming weekend. Its past my bed time and I got on the site and once again it dawned on me I hadn't had a look to see how you all were.A couple of minutes ago the one who will be OBEYED My Wife Rita all 4ft 11 inches of her gave me the message. So Please forgive me will give you all the latest over the weekend. Thanks once again Girls.Best Regards Ken B
These are some of the family names Berry,Lunt,Lawson,Feilding,Garnett,Reston,Nettleton,Major,Haygarth
A little funny found T.E L.1901 Census.said family on his page.So pressed print and had a cup of Coffee with Rita got back and there were 3 pages of family. The rest of the Crew in Walton Gaol.Trying to find out what he had been up to.

Hi Tina, MaryA and Elsa-Mary,
My humble apologies for a second time. For some reason I must have had a few Memory cells go redundant. I just rediscovered all the help you have given me in the past. T.E.L. have found just about all available. He was His Majesty's guest in 1901 at Walton on the Hill.In the jug don't seem to be able to find out why.He is a listed as News Vendor of own account. So when I got his name up and the printer friendly, it had Family,Rita had just called me for a cup of Coffee
so set the printer going and went and had my Coffee.Looking forward to getting back and seeing more rellies. There were 3 full sheets of names,
all the other Prisoners in Walton Jail with him. So when the 1911 census came out, once again no Thomas Edward Lunt. I did get an email from and elderly chap in the Pool and he said he was in Canada aboard a ship. I can't get in touch with the old chap have tried but his site has closed.
So I'll just wait for a while as FindMyPast have a lot more names to add to the 1911 census. It was sad his wife My Nana died in 1935 of a broken heart, or let say what I read in the Death certificate. As it ewas a coroners inquest. Because of "Lunty" as he was called. But he had a very bad time as well. Capt Alf Berry my paternal G/dad found quit a lot more about him and his Tugs. Wage agreements with the Alexander Towing co.1926 Tug "Waterloo" 1911 and pictures, etc. Hope you Lady's are all well. Its great The Soccer World Cup is on. Watched the first to games this morning and the Opening, Well thats all for now have locked the memory cells in Thanks a Million Again. Fondest Wishes to You and Yours Ken & Rita
Great to see you back Ken & Rita
See "Not Genealogy" Mary has listed the link to freebies from findmypast & 1911 census during England World Cup games, not sure of the time frame for you across the big ditch.
Hopeless for me, middle of the night.
There is a Thos Lunt sailing from Lpool to Halifax in 1914 no age listed.
Did we look at old newspapers for a trial of TEL? (17 in 1901)
I'll have to go back & read page 1 of your post
All the best

Hi Tina,MaryA, Elsa Mary, and Education Officer,
How you all again great weather your having in the UK anyway and a heat wave coming up this week. I keep thinking about that Referee and Linesman not giving the goal agains Germany. Have been watching all the replays and both of them where so far out of position (I used to Referee here) in the National League. They could have given the goal as they couldn't see the line or the ball. Anyway they have been both given the DCM (don't come monday). Boy did the Germans give it to Argentina this morning.Anyway still have manged to find what TEL was in Walton Gaol for.Plus still no luck with the 1911 census. My pocket money has all gone on looking for him,so the lady "who shall be obeyed" has meade threats so will have to rest for a while. You mention him or the same name on a ship from Liverpool to Halifax in 1914.Have you anymore details. From what I have found out he only went to Boston Mass. on the Sagamore. But possibly could have been on another ship in 1914 as he had got married in 1914.
From here you all look Fit ,Healthy and Prosperous. Almost feel the same myself, but like you probably and myself,am thinking the governments seem to want to cut out the last word of that expression. Fondest Regards to You All Ken B
