your spot on, they dont tie up at all! it would have her death in 1926 if that was her not 1913! ahhhh!!
Thanks Hilary! well spotted!....back to the drawing board!
Winwick Hospital
You are assuming she was in the area in 1911 however her daughter is in Cheshire maybe her mother is too. the census is just a snapshot of one night people can be visiting and away from their home address that night. I imagine you are just looking at the index unfortunately that does not give you in this instance enough information, you have an approximate birth date to use and a possible place of birth after that any of the Harriet Hughes in the area with Liverpool, West derby, Prescot or Warrington as their district could be the correct one. Until you have more information it would be a costly exercise checking everyone.
If I were you I would first establish what has happened to the husband - check out directories for the family and see when they disappear from the directory. All the directories for the Liverpool area are on film at liverpool record Office.
Yes Winwick would be listed as an institution.

Thanks for that Hilary, yes we will have to look into what happend to her husband, we wanted to find this out anyway as he just seems to vanish and this most likely although guess work is why the family at that time seems to fall apart.
Out of curiosity which daughter is in cheshire? is it Jane? as we have no record of her at the moment as regards to were she is after 1901.
Thanks again Hilary!
Kind regards
Russ

You said (see your post above)
Also i had got some info wrong with regards to Harriette being with her parents at 10,Dorrell st. on the 1901 cencus.
Its actually the 1911 cencus when she is 13 that she is in a household of a Philip Jackson. 7 Hemingford St. Birkenhead.
Birkenhead was in Cheshire at that time. Just as Warrington was in Lancashire. The old counties existed until 1974.

I still think you need to apply for the certificate for Gladys Hughes, to find out what Harrietts maiden name is, you say that the family MaryA has found are the correct family, so we need to establish the maiden name for Harriett, the only way do do this is to apply for Gladys birth cerificate. I know you have been told it is WRIGHT but we have searched for a marriage for a John Hughes to a Harriett Wright and we cannot locate any matches. The only marriage we have found is for the following people (see below), we cant say who married who, because we cannot access the marriage register for this church. Therefore the only way forward is to get Gladys Hughes birth certificate.
Marriages Jun Quarter 1883
HALLET Mary Amelia Toxteth Park 8b 516
HUGHES John Toxteth Park 8b 516
MORRIS Harriett Toxteth Park 8b 516
