Driver John Fearon, WW1, Military Medal

Post by daggers »

On another forum someone is trying to trace details of a Military Medal awarded in July 1917 to John Fearon who was in the Royal Artillery and from Liverpool.

The London Gazette lists awards of the MM, but without citations, and usually three to four months after the date of the deed. The only hope of finding more about the deed is a report in a local paper.

If this name rings any bells, please let me know. I have used the search here but with no tingaling.

His records show his Army number as 82317 ( best to double check on Ancestry ) so you should be able to get a copy his service records which may have the info. you require.

Thanks to all of you for helping. All this adds to what the original seeker had, so he will be grateful.
