Sorry Ancestry has them transcribed as Gerling in 1871, and the birthplace looks to me like Brixham for both. Just realised that the superscript squiggle after "Devon" is probably "shire".
I believe I discovered them because I used "Devon" as birthplace, a valuable detail from the 1861 census. Please always give full details when requesting help.

I have just had a big win. Went to Irish Genealogy and trawled through baptism registers, found records for the first 4 children born in Dublin, one of them had a middle name Winter which seemed more like a surname, so I looked it up on FamilySearch and sure enough, their mother's name was Mary Creese Winter born in Brixham. Now I've got to try and find Mary's marriage and also baptisms of the other 6 children. Moya
