Hi Phil and welcome to the forum.
I have split your request from mine as I returned to the Cemetery on Saturday and discovered the location of the grave I was searching for.
On checking the plan of Kirkdale Cemetery Section 5 would seem as large as Section 3 that I was searching.
My experience was that it was very difficult to follow the order of the grave numbers, many of them weren't numbered anyway and many stones were laid down.
What I did was to contact Liverpool City Council 0151 233 3004 with the grave number details that I had and they were kind enough to email me a location map. Without it I found it very difficult to find the grave I was interested in.
