St Pauls, Southport

Does anyone have a photo of St Pauls they are willing to share - or of Belmont Street round the corner in the late 1800s. I am researching Charles Oldfield of Oldfields Brewery, Wigan, who lived in a house called Daisy Bank in Belmont Road and whose children were married in St Pauls.

Southport Library Local History section have a photographic collection of Southport and may well have a photo of St pauls. However they have just been relocated temporarily to Fprmby Library and are due to open on 4 May. I would suggest contacting them but leave it a few days.

As for the house in Belmont Road I will go and have a look to see if it is still there but it won't be until later this week as I have visitors. Do you know the number?

Hilary, Thanks for the information on the photo library - I shall follow that up.

As for the house, 'Daisy Bank', it has gone the way of many in Southport and is now a small block of flats hence trying to find an old photo of the area.
