Marriage Look up please - St Mary's Kirkdale
Morning all!
Checking my Edward Crosbie to see if I could help Tina with her J Crosbie has made me look closer and have discovered a bit more information.
If anybody is able to do a look up for me I'd be very grateful, particularly for the information about Elizabeth.
Arthur SINKER married Elizabeth CROSBIE at Kirkdale St Mary in April/May/June 1895
Thanks a lot
Mary

Thanks Jan, I know it's going to be of interest to many people on the forum as so many of our ancestors were married there!

Strange, bet they had the same enumerator who decided to make their name "posher". I have to check back further but they must be related since Arthur married from this address.Tina wrote:Hi Mary

It's a pity Elizabeth hadn't been married before, her son Edward born 1892, must have been illegitimate, another line that probably won't go any further.

Hi Antony and welcome to the forum.
My main interest was in Edward Crosbie, who was the great grandfather of my sons (through their paternal side). Edward appears to be the illegitimate son of Elizabeth so the Sinkers/Sinclairs were more of an offshoot really. Wonderful things certificates - my confirmation that I had the right Edward was the name of Lewis Sinker as witness on his marriage certificate.
If you would like a copy of that certificate or if I can help you in any way, please let me know, and thanks for popping up to introduce yourself.

Thanks for the kind welcome. I'm revisiting the Sinker families updating from the 1911 census and was searching the net for Arthur Sinker at the same time and came across your site.MaryA wrote:Hi Antony and welcome to the forum.

I knew that Edward Crosbie was the illegitimate son of Elizabeth Crosbie. I've not looked him up in later generations but I have from family sources that he married a Sinker female. I was given this information some years ago and I never looked into this. If you can send me details of Edward Crosbie's marriage that would be helpful. Thank you.
The Sinker/ Sinclair surnames are interchangeable in this family so it can get confusing with members of the same family using different spellings.
