Is there any way I can find out who was living at 25 Regent Road in 1880. Are there street directories and would any kind person have access to them? Thanks in advance

I don't suppose you'd be looking at the birth certificate of Elizabeth Young who was 4 months old in the 1881 census, at that address, parents Charles 30, General Labourer, born Ireland and Mary 25, born Liverpool and 2 year old brother William.
There's also a widowed Jane Blundell 50 boarding, with presumably her son Thomas 29 a sailor both born Liverpool and a James Maher (married) age 30 Ireland.

Thanks Col and Mary.
Not looking for the Youngs - I have a marriage certificate from 1880 which gives both the bride and groom's address as number 25. I was trying to get an idea of who else was there in 1880. Maybe it's not possible. Never mind.
Thanks
Barbara
PS If there is any other way, the bride was Margaret Rotheram and the groom Charles Byrne(s)

Hi Barbara,
Could it be that this was just an accomodation address to claim residence in the parish? I note that the address is for the bride and groom. I have a number of marriage certificates from different sides of the family, where the address is given as 36, Stopford Street in the parish of St Cleopas, although I know that wasn't the actual address for the people involved. These people all lived in neighbouring parishes.
Heli.

Thanks Jan and Tina
Don't think the Nelson entry is anything to do with my lot, Jan, they were married in Liverpool.
I haven't found a George Byrne yet, Tina but it doesn't mean there isn't one! I might have a go at tracing him and see if it leads me to Charles' family. His father was Hugh, a provisions dealer, so there might be a link.
Thanks again for taking the time to help
Cheers
