I am directly from this family. Their 3rd son Thomas b. 1843 came to Brisbane Australia.
I am looking for their parents and also any information on their eight children.

ROSCOE FAMILY
Thomas Roscoe born 30 Dec 1843 Prescot married Ann Beck at Kirk Lonan Isle of Man 24 Sep 1867. They came to Australia on the Storm King arriving 1870. Thomas Roscoe died at the age of 31 in 1875.
I would like to know who his father Thomas born 1815 father was and also who were Mary Brown's parents.
I would also like any information on his siblings.
I am in the process of writing a family history on my father's line. I have just published my mothers family - that book has 443 pages with photos.
So anything that will help me. I visited Prescot in 1992.

Just following Mary's good finds, 1861 Thos jr is 17 and a watchmaker.
Two more siblings Arthur 8, Samuel 6 also a grandson Thos 2yrs old.
1871 no sign of Thos jr.
Thos snr & Mary there with Saml, g/son Thos & another g/son Wm aged 10yrs.
By 1881 Samuel is living with his brother Wm in Oldham.
If your Thos was a watchmaker in Aus, this could be the correct family??
1881 & 1891 Thos snr & Mary are both living in Oldham.
Thos snr died 1892 in Oldham and Mary in 1897.

added...looking at the census that MaryA found we can summise that Mary was 18 and Thomas 20 when they married..although they sometimes rounded it up to the nearest 5 years...I`ll try and find babtisms 1816 for Thomas and 1818 for Mary...allan
