I have been given this photo of MARY & MADGE it was in the possesion of my mums sister Jean..so we recon it belonged to my Gran Mary Ralston...

These ladies we think were grans friends and it looks like a Xmas works party.. seen as though my Gran worked at Whitbreads 1940's & 1950's we are thinking these ladies also may have worked there...

we have another photo of Madge 1946 the blonde lady it simply says outside the shop..i dont have it yet my cousin has it but will give me it soon....

did anyone work there or does anyone recognise these ladies ????? Mary & Madge..My Gran lived in Braemar St Kirkdale.

Whitbreads took over Threlfalls brewery in Trueman Street in 1961, but may have had their own bottling plant in Liverpool earlier. A Kelly's directory for the 1950s/60s would help perhaps.

What a pity googlemaps don't have it on a streetview. Haven't been past there in a while but I seem to remember there is a company called Comb ined Catering there, maybe they are using the same building ??
