The Normans

Post by dickiesam »

Hello Patsynorman,
Could you go back and edit your post putting in some dates for us please? Always helps to have a time frame for an individual and some years of birth. If you have found related families in censuses, let us know what years and who (and where) they were.

Regarding
the family of James Norman married to a Mary Smith
... do you have a date and place for the marriage?
Good luck,
Dickiesam

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I hope we will be able to help you, as Dickiesam has asked, it would be helpful if you would add some dates to the people you mention, although preferably not for any living people.

I think this is probably the marriage you are referring to
1906 James NORMAN to Mary SMITH West Derby, Register Office or Registrar Attended, so as you say, probably a RC marriage, do you already have the certificate? maybe you could let us have details if you think it would be helpful.

1891 can't find them at the mo

1901 James is boarding Islington, 21 yrs poulterer/fish unmarried
There's also a Sarah Norman 20 unm servant in the same lodgings, perhaps his sister??
RG13/3423/96/45

There is a death in Lpool dec 1889 for a Sarah Ann Norman aged 38yrs.

Possibly another 6 births after 1911 in W Dby Norman/Smith combo.

You may well have all information working backwards through the censuses, if not, then pinpoint which exactly you need help with and we'll do some look ups for you.

If it is the coming forward bit that you are more interested in, then we are often asked about this on the forum and I put together some suggestions here http://liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/phpBB ... php?t=8154 maybe these will be useful to you.

No it wouldn't seem that she had any.

What is it you are looking for help with since you seem to have a lot of information about the family.

If if is that you are looking for present day connections, did you check the link I gave above, most of the suggestions can be looked into online.
