Electoral Roll Query

Hi all, as ever I'm confused regarding the Electoral Roll - is it possible to find out who lived in 83 Hurlingham Road, West Derby in 1945 - my Mum and Dad lived there and I'm wondering if they shared with the in-laws. Do the E.R'S list the residents or just the head of household - any guidance much appreciated - Holly

They should list everybody in the household who is eligible to vote - at that date I believe that would be over 21? I think also that there is a mark beside the name of a person who will come of age before the next register is taken.

Thanks Marya, my brothers birth cert states he was born Hurlingham Rd, he reckons he was born somewhere else, so, I was thinking if Mum was staying with family if Dad was away fighting - just another lickle brick to build my wall - Holly

You will have to remember that you will only get those who usually live in the house, like now they would have to be registered earlier in the year, unlike the censuses that just listed everybody who happened to be there.
