[quote="MaryA"]If you do go, have a look at other entries and see what the usual format is for them - is the mother's name given in full as if she was single, or was it written as her married name, nee maiden name?
It might give a clue as to whether they owned up to being unmarried or not.
PS Colette found the entry on the www.familysearch.org.uk Pilot Scheme[/quote

you could also look at Riverside Cemetery burials too as Beverly Rolf Simpson's father Thomas Walker Simpson was buried there...he died 1922, maybe they had a family plot and Bev & Jeanettes baby is there too
Jeanette & Bev went to canada May 1919 is this the arrival date..as this baby was born Aug 1919..so she had to be pregnant before she left maybe this is why he took her back..doing the right thing..
She gos first then David follows i cant see him leaving his mother alone so maybe Evelyn dies before 1922..might be worth checking deaths 1919-1922.
Also Beverly had a brother John Milner Simpson he was also in Army,he got meningitis but survived he was left handicpped poor man.. he died in Napanee nov 20th 1946.
Their mother wa scalled Henrietta Milner.. and best yet Thomas Walker Simpson was Mayor of Napanee too for a spell..so there must be lots of info on him...
