Where is William Newby?
Can anyone give me advice on how to trace a living relative. I am searching for William Newby born 1956, son of George Newby. William was brought up by his mother and lived in Goodacre Road Fazakerley Liverpool. In the early 1970's he was known to have worked for Ron Callows Tyres, Aintree. This is the only information I have so any help would be much appreciated.

Current telephone books might be useful and if you wanted to post an advertisement in the Liverpool Echo you can do it on their "searching for" column online at www.icliverpool.co.uk.
Have you checked the marriages to see if there is a likely entry? from the two names in a marriage you can often find children born to the couple, or the deaths?
If anybody has any specific information rather than advice, please send it in a pm rather than posting details of possible living persons on public forum.

Because he may be a living person, it may be better to subscribe to one of the online people tracing services such as http://www.tracesmart.co.uk/ and http://www.192.com/ . Neither service is cheap but as you know his age it would cut down the number of mis-hits. I have used TraceSmart several times in the past with a high success rate.
