Attn Carole another Anc please

Post by Tina »

Hi Carole
Please can I ask a favour?
There's a baptism listed in Anc## for Sophia Elizabeth Parr father John.
If you could have a squizz and tell me anymore info I'd be very grateful.
There is a baptism in IGI mother listed as Ann M.
Sophia is sometimes born in Standish or Wigan.

Thank you in advance

Tina

Tina

Morana isn't that common a name is it??? So easy to remember especially as Mary A say knowing you!!!!! It is the Liverpool Registry Office I do the vollie work for. I have only been doing it for just over 18 months but some people have been helping for over 6 years. Still places left as some days there are only 1 or 2 people who go. It is all being put on Lancs BMD when we finish. Quite a lot of the births have been done now and still more to do. Haven't even started on the Deaths yet.

Well done to you Eileen.
I've noticed how more often Lancs BMD gets an update.
Morana, well it's a contrived name as Giovanni couldn't speak or write English when he land in 1858ish. The surname was much longer. The Anglo-Italian FHS told me it doesn't exist!!.
Gammoranna is on my bro's birth cert, Morana on mine.
Dad changed his surname to Thomas during the war, my sister is a Thomas.
My mother had 3 children to the same man with 3 diffo surnames

Cheers

Oh my!

Well that's a pity since the name is almost unique, at least it'll be well known amongst genealogy forums.

And very well done Eileen and all the other transcribers, you are very much appreciated by all of us.
