Hi Marchbird

Sorry for delay in contact I've been without a broadband connection for 10 days - turned out to be a faulty hub!

Yes that's him - got the details back from Brixham - he was born on 3rd Sept 1883 full name Edward Charles William Blamey, born in Dartmouth.
