Is that mission the same as the present-day City Mission, who have the headquarters in Mount Pleasant? Their website is this:
<http://www.livercm.org.uk/>
They run several mission halls or chapels around the city and may be able to help you.
Kelly's Directories listed mission halls in the section at the back of the book, after the lists of churches. You may find something there if you are local and can get to the central library.

Hi Moemed
Harry Hughes lived at various addresses while he was the Preacher at the Mission, right?
Please list one by one the info you need for the family, thank you.
The only cemetery in Kensington was Jewish.

Hi colette i apologise for my ignorance but what was the necropolis ?colette wrote:Hi Tina
In 1901 he and his family were at Denman St of Kensington..It seems they were Wesylans..going by him preaching in Weslyan churches..
The Necropolis was not too far away.

Re: Cemetery
Hi colette do you know if there is any records for the necropoliscolette wrote:Hi it was a big Cemetery on West Derby Rd, not too far from Kensington
Was Harry's dad Lot ???
xx
harrys dad was john hughes wife elizabeth think her maiden name was kelly as in denman street they r lodgers and isabella kelly is with them and she is elizabeths sister another strange connection is the peeople they lodge with the head of the house was a police constable and lilian g hughes married a harold medlicott his father william medlicott was a police constable in the 1901 census for toxteth park
I'll check Gibsons when I get home this evening, there are some of the Necropolis MI's in there.

Harry
Hi Moe
No worries.. i just wanted to make sure you were going down the right route so to speak..as i couldnt see a Harry with parents John & Elizabeth born c 1871.. If his father was called Lot.. then that helps to find his burial..as you say you think Lilian maybe buried with him.
If Harrys father is John on Harrys marriage cert then forgive me.. but i dont know if you hav this marriage cert you see confirming this..

Perhaps you could give us all the details from the marriage certificate, where it took place, the fathers and also the witnesses. You never know where the odd little detail leads.

Burial
Hi
To narrow down the search for the burial of Lillian. You could look through the local papers to see if there was an obituary.
There are some records for The Liverpool Domestic Mission I dont know if its the same as the City Mission?
LIVERPOOL DOMESTIC MISSION, MILL STREET
BAPTISMS 266 DOM 1869-1974
LIVERPOOL DOMESTIC MISSION, MILL STREET
WEDDINGS 266 DOM 1918-1960
These records are listed in the Non-Conformist Collection.

Please read this guideline which advises you about what can be looked up and what can't

Without confirming documentation - ie the marriage certificate that gives his father's name, you could well be following the wrong family. You need to go step by step.
