Post 1901 help please - Charles William Taylor & Family
Looking at the 1841 census I can find James and Elizabeth Taylor the farmer in Ingbirchworth with his younger children. A son Charles and a son Nathan are near John who is as you know listed as an ag lab. I think this is the family but as you say checks need to be made.
If your local library has maps the 1:50000 OS map Sheffield covers this area. For a larger scale the 1:25000 OS map Peak District Dark Peak shows the area in greater detail.
Have fun

On www.freebmd.org.uk there are 2 Frederick Taylor's births registered one in 1841 and one in 1847. This district would be correct if he was born in Huddersfield
There is a Fred Taylor registered Wortley March Q 1844 volume 22 page 725. If Fred was born Ingbirchworth or Pensitone this is the correct registration district.
The one you go for I would put reference checking details for the father etc to get the one you want.

Just a quick update on CWT... Birth cert not arrived yet ((I know I'm too impatient
)) ... Registered with LDS...however it might be sometime until I get the call to go and search the parish registers soooo I am gonna have to wait. The volunteers were really helpful.
The fee was increased last week and is now £ 7-50p per film.
Mary... still pouring over the 1911 RD numbers... fortunately for me my daughter condensed the pages and printed them off for me. Still along way to go. It's a bit daunting... but onward and upward!!!

That's news, I didn't realise that was the price nowadays, heard it was only around about £3.
You don't you find the Edit> Find> on the spreadsheet better than searching a paper list?

Hi... Update on My Charles William Taylor...
Have today received his birth cert and his dad is indeed Fred Taylor and mother Selina nee Shaw as we thought.... They are living in 37 Dove Street Toxteth Park... The informant is Richard Martin occupier of 37 Dove Street??? So a little confused as to why he would be registering Charles ??
The plot thickens.
Theres a bit more of a mystery...In 1871 Fred and Selina are on the census RG10/3805....On the 1881 census RG11/3649 Fred is with the children And a housekeeper M Shaw and 2 Shaw children all born Liverpool (( Selinas maiden name)). Selina is not there and search as I may I cannot find her on the 1881 census anywhere.....however on the 1891 census RG123562 Huddersfield...she is a widow living with the children.
I have found a death for Fred in 1884 age 40 in Toxteth... so that would fit in ...Selina Dies In Huddersfield in 1923 age 82 years.
Mary... still had no luck with 1911 and Charles...I know he and Chrissie where still at 60 Fountains Road up to 1938..Is it possible to check street address 1911... I'm wondering if they where already in Liverpool by then.
Ed Officer.. still waiting for the Penistone parish records.

Going to have to re-read through to refresh my memory, but just thought I'd say that you can search the 1911 census by address, there is a tab for Place as well as one for Person, unfortunately not for free.
I put in the address and there are two entries for it. Let me work on it, don't know if it can be done but I'll give it a go.
Weird, it will find an address, but when I enter a reference it doesn't find it. Tried it out on an entry I already have so I know the ref, but it doesn't work. I've emailed them.
