Look-up request, 1891 and 1901 census
Has anyone got access to these censuses and would look up James M. Hannah, born in Yorkshire in 1875?
He was a child in Gloucestershire in 1881 and a vicar in Ditton in 1911.
Many thanks
Daggers.

Hi Daggers,
1891 has a James M Hannah born Stapleton Park Yorks about 1875 as an assistant school master at Northleach Grammar School, Gloucs. His address is given as The Green, Northleach. Shall have a look at 1901 now.

Is Daggers only interested in the life and work of James Hannah, or the family background also? By the sound of it the crew can continue .... watch this space!

If that is the entry for Dad as a groom, I have seen it. So far it seems that the James I am is interested in was the groom's son, became a schoolmaster, then went to Oxford before ordination into CofE. Pretty good going for those days.
I am not concerned with earlier history of that family, but on James's progress, so any more on the 1881-onwards period will be interesting.

Okies Daggers I won't give up wombating!
As for the Ashes, the great white sharks downunder are heading for your warmer waters. They've heard the England team do their swimming exercise in the Channel. Oh those lovely lily white limbs are just so tempting....
