Help locating Death Cert Ref No. DANNY ROBINSON - West Derby
Hi,
I am looking for help in finding a death certificate reference number, so that I my order the certificate for my Mother who wants to find the cause of death of my Granddad's brother, who died as a baby. My Granddad has always blamed himself for the death of his brother because his patents told him that because of his moaning (as he was no longer allowed to sleep in the family bed when the baby arrived) it had caused his death! very mean of the parents. My mum would like to find out the cause of death to finally give to my Granddad to prove that it was not his fault! (on a lighter note - lets just hope that it's not listed down as death by moaning).
My Granddad was born in 1927 in West Derby, Liverpool so his brothers death must have been after this date, his brother was called DANNY ROBINSON mothers maiden name LEWIS. For some reason I cannot find it? I must be searching wrong, please could anybody help.
Many thanks,
Julia

Hi Julia
Danny's birth is in the 1st qtr of 1930. He would have been around 8 months old when he died.
I hope your Grandad finally finds peace and gets rid of the guilt that was laid upon him. Poor beggar.
Let's hope Danny died from measles etc.
My best wishes to him.

Hi Susan
thanks for your message about getting better soon. I don't know what's going on. Its the coldest June I can remember. The central heating is back on because it feels like November. There's just no sunshine and I've got the worst hayfever I've ever had. The nearest thing I can describe this to is feeling drunk all the time but with bulging eyes and a permanently runny nose. Lovely! I must emigrate one day!
...and I am feeling SAD without the sun!

I have received the death certificate for Daniel today and thought I would update you on my findings. Poor little Daniel died of complications of measles, just like Tina suggested. Very sad news but it will hopefully put my Granddad's mind at rest after all these years.

Thank you all for helping me locate this certificate x

Hi Julia
Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Now Dad will know that no one could have helped little Danny.
Sadly complications were very common back then, those who did survive only existed afterwards.
My late Mum used to say "you're not dead if someone remembers you in their heart"
International Children's Memorial Day is held 2nd Sunday in Dec worldwide for 24hrs. I've made a note to light a candle for Daniel.
Warmies
Tina
