I am searching for the family of John Wike born Croft house lancashire 1773, I have his fathers name also John Wike ch 05 sept 1742 Childwall, his fathers name is Thomas. Is there any information on John from Childwall that I am missing. thanks Karen

Hi Karen
The IGI listing for John Wike doesn't give a place in Lancs.
The Croft House could be anywhere.
It also lists his death in Feb 1845.
There is one for John but the rego area is Bury.
The earliest census I have is 1841.
Loads of Wike's in Bury etc.
I'm not sure if earlier Directories, which some members have, covered Childwall.
I've only found Hy WYKE in Childwall 1841, some in Warrington where I know the village of Croft was and some more in Speke.
