Crimean War 1854 - 1856. Official service records?

Can anyone tell me if there are any official Army/Navy records regarding service during this campaign? I am looking for wounded as well as KIA to confirm a family story that a g.g.father and his brother were involved in this conflict while in their late teens. My g.g.father, Thomas Sarsfield, is said to have survived a serious head wound but his brother was killed. His brother's name may have been John or Henry. The surviving brother, Thomas, was in Dublin in the early 1860s raising a family and eventually settled in Liverpool c.1874.

I have searched several sites that list war graves without success and can't find any 'official' records. Unfortunately the brothers were born and living in Ireland when they took the Queen's shilling and signed on so I assume a death would not be in the UK GRO Index.

Any suggestions, anyone?

Hi

Its possible that the wounded chap may have been pensioned, these records are at the national archives under WO97. There will also be records at the British Library in the india archives section.
