Can anyone give me any info about The Grapes in Vauxhall Road. John Charters was the Landlord in 1856.

Do you have a street number for the pub?
It was sure to be on a corner!

I checked Inacityliving since there are over 1000 photographs of pubs, but unfortunately The Grapes on Vauxhall Road may well have been long gone before the time of this site, most of which I believe is 1950 onward.

Plenty of pubs in Vauxhall Road in a 1909 list but none called Grapes. Sorry.

1861 he's at Banastre St Vauxhall Dist just says House, publican 43 bn Lpl, wife Rosan 34 bn Sefton.
there's a George Gore 58 with them, poss Rosanna nee Gore's father?
btw I've sent a correction to Anc# for their son James Jore Charters should read James Gore Charters. marr 1855 Rosanna to John Charters.
