Jane Jacobson / Hans Jacobson / James Jacobson

Hi,

I'm looking for information about the following individuals:
  • - James Jacobson - Born 1816 Liverpool
    - Hans Jacobson - Father of the above, possibly from Scandinavia. The name may have been transcripted incorrectly on the christening record, i.e. it may originally have been "Jacobsen". His first name "Hans" suggests that anyway.
    - Jane Jacobson - Mother of James, wife of Hans
Hans and Jane were probably between 1780 and 1790.

My great grandmother was Jane Jacobson (born 1865), who married Samuel Mitchell in 1886. She was the daughter of Alice Jacobson, daughter of the Jane Jacobson married to Hans Jacobson.

1841 census for Silk House Lane Liverpool - all b Lancs - presumably son James died pre-1841

Hans Jacobson married Mary Clayton. A parents search on the IGI shows up a number of children

CHARLES JACOBSON b 9.8.1809 Christening: 17 SEP 1809 St Nicholas, Liverpool, Lancashire, England

ROBERT JACOBSON b 26.2.1806 Christening: 23 JUN 1806 St Nicholas, Liverpool, Lancashire, England

ELISABETH JACOBSON Christening: 04 OCT 1818 Saint Peter, Liverpool, Lancashire, England

RICHARD JACOBSON Christening: 26 JUL 1813 St Nicholas, Liverpool, Lancashire, England

1851 census - looks like Gregory Place. I think Jane is still shown as married but it's not clear. James is not in household. All b Liverpool

Well, what great wombating from Carole W...you must be so happy?
Jane. gawd love her, is still in the cellar in 1871 at 116 Garden/Gordon?? Everton, widowed charwoman, she has g/dhtrs Elizabeth 10 and Jane 6 living with her.All bn Lpool.

You can find Jane and grandees at familysearch in their 1881 census. Jane is a charwoman, the two grandee girls are tobacconists.

Sadly looks like Jane died in dec qtr 1881 aged 66yrs W Dby rego.

She marries Samuel Mitchell at St George Everton in 1886. If you don't have 1891 details, pls let me know.
