Gidday all
Was wondering if anyone has access to Baptismal records for St Michael's, Huyton-with-Roby for the mid to late 1800s and could kindly do a look-up for me?
I'm looking for Bartons, in particular, the children of John and Eliza Barton (nee Dodson):
William BARTON (b. 1852?)
Mary BARTON (b. 1854?)
Thomas BARTON (b. 1856?)
John Arthur BARTON (b. 1858?)
George Dodson BARTON (b. 1860)
James Henry BARTON (b. 1862)
Richard A BARTON (b. 1864)
Charles A BARTON (b. 1866)
Elizabeth Jane BARTON (b. 1868)
Lillie BARTON (?), poss 1870
Would also be interested in the entry for Thomas' marriage to Ellen RIMMER in 1882, or the baptism of any of Thomas and Ellen's children.
Very kind regards

BARTON: St Michael's, HUYTON
Hi,
There are many Bartons on the St. Michaels on the online Lancashire Parish Clerk Project both for baptism and marriage but unfortunately between dates 1587 -1726. Don't know where the later records are kept but am sure someone else on the forum will point in the right direction.
If you Google 'Lancashire Parish Clerk Project then you'll see the names and dates of Bartons.
Cheers

My sources have only the early dates too.
Not all of the later Parish Registers exist, although there are the Bishops Transcripts for later dates (certainly around the 1740's and later) held at Huyton Library and I believe also in Lancashire Record Office. I suspect that they must also be in the Liverpool Record Office but I don't spot it in the list.

Thanks heaps for your replies.
Unfortunately being in New Zealand it's going to be impossible for me to get to either the Church or record offices unfortunately.
I wondered whether maybe there were (later) entries in the BVI for St Michael's (I notice in an earlier post on this forum that someone had provided some BVI info from St Michael's for the mid 1800s - can't remember the surname).
M.A. Downey - really appreciate your offer to stop by the church - that would be fantastic if it's not too much trouble.
Regards
Andy

Glad you reminded me of the BVRI
This one's probably too early
Ellen Barton 4 May 1830
Mary Barton 2 July 1854
Thomas Barton 6 April 1856
John Arthur Barton 16 May 1858
James Henry Barton 4 May 1862
Bishops Transcripts FHL Film 1068886
There are a number of births in Woolton for Bartons, but mainly with parents Henry and Elizabeth.
No sign of an entry for the marriage of Thomas and Ellen, nor their children, sorry.
You can check for your local LDS Centre to see if they have the films for the later years http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library ... et_fhc.asp
