yes I do silverlady......Now Mason stands a good possibility but we are talking 36 years ago and as the grandkids keep reminding me..."old timers is setting in nana....you told me that before."......when I worked there the husband was not around can't remember if he was dead or divorced or away.....darn it, some things I can remember as if they happened an hour ago others, its like getting blood out of a turnip........ I'll keep looking in the cobwebs of my mind and see what I can dust off.

Hi Joe
Have you looked in British Phone in Anc?
Perhaps if you get streets address for the hotel it could narrow your search under Mason or Salisbury.
Good luck

The last Street and Trade Directory for Southport was 1970 that just lists the Knowsley Hotel Knowsley Road Promenade Southport and a telephone number no proprietors' names.

Hi Joe
A belated very happy "burpday" to you.
You must have ESP for sure...
We will have to nickname you RADAR from now on.
What wonderful news.
I'm sooooooooooo happy for you....
I can hardly believe Monica who is no spring chicken, was visiting.
This is just heartwarming for all of us.

Hi Joe
I think my reply will be too late as you are probably winging your way to UK.
Sad you missed meeting Monica.
All the very best Joe with your contacts in UK and I hope you find out heaps about your family.

Don't forget your Stetson
Please keep us posted on your return.

Good luck
