I am looking for information on Robert Backhouse who married
Isabelle Ormandy on 2 November 1776 at the church of St Nicholas & Our Lady Liverpool. Any information would be appreciated .Especially on their families.

Hi Paul
In the familysearch site, in the IGI where you probably found the marriage, there are 6 baptisms for Backhouse kiddies all at St Peter's
from 1779 to 1793 parents Robert & Isabella.

I looked for one of them in census, Seth 1793 as I thought he would be the easiest. There is one in Toxteth Park in 1851 census aged 58yrs.

Seth is Roberts & Isabelles son. That much I know about . What I am seeking is information on Roberts ^ Isabells parantage. Thanks for the interset.

Welcome to the forum Paul.

Unfortunately it's unlikely that you will find any details of the parents from a marriage entry at that date. Probably the most you can expect will be whether the bride and groom were from the parish, single or widowed, their occupations, and witnesses.

Hi Paul mary is right very little info on early certs but i looked anyway
Robert was a carpenter both of the parish of liverpool
witness john wright who signed for nearly everyone that day
and a robert nanlikick? thats the best i could make out Irene
