Hi Simone and Sue
I think the first one born in 1825 is very likely although this could be one of the other Marys of about the same age too. Would it be worthwhile ordering the certificate for this - what would I learn in doing so?

If you think there are a few Mary Lennons on these census records you want to check out passenger lists to the USA - there are literally hundreds of them (most with a Thomas in tow as well  ) all sailing out of Liverpool. John Smith has nothing on them  .

Hi Tony

The death cert will give you place of death and informant who may not actually be a family member, so you could in effect end up with zilch by way of info  Quite costly at £7 each
Must admit the first one looks inviting, but could be nothing in the end

Take it from someone who knows, with enough Edward Jones death certs to wallpaper the living room

Still can't believe we can't track Peter via his christian name, wonder if he spent some time in military :?:

Remember the Quins we thought were Lenins, well they are haunting me now. Just going through the Peter's again and fell on this-
They've even got a Thomas the same age as our Tom

1881 -
RG11 3653 8 9
Name Age
Mary Quinn 51
Peter Quinn 15
Thomas Quinn 60 Stevedore
Thomas Quinn 8

Oh Sue, just realised I think you mentioned that before
Losing the plot now, but don't some things just keep shouting out at you and are so close that you just want it to be so

That entry is so bugging me :x

Thomas and Mary right age, very probably right birth place.
Thomas right occupation.
Peter right age
Thomas right age.

Grrrrrrrrrrr :x

Sooo frustrating
Someone please tell me its not them. Do you think they were trying to dodge the enumerator?

Hi Simone
I don't think it is them
They are there in 1871 and 1881 together and I think I found Peter Quinn as someone's brother-in-law in 1891 when we know where our Peter was.

My eyes are going... so I am too.
Thanks for your hard work again.... you too Sue.
Good night

Hi Tony

Decided to look for the witnesses to Thomas Lemon and Mary Devitt's marriage on the 1841 census.

Found a possible John Bradly bc 1821
HO107 555 13 19 30

John is listed on right hand page, but on the left hand page is a Thomas Lemon. This Thomas Lemon is 60 yrs old though :? :?:

Just a coincidence do you think :?:

Hi Simone,

That John Bradly looks like he was born in Ireland, and the John Lemon was born in county,

Hi Simone
Interesting but probably a coincidence....
unless.... 'age-full' on the 1846 marriage cert. means that this Thomas was in fact a pensioner  . I don't think he would have had the stamina to be around for Peter's conception in 1866 though  .

I don't know where to go with this Lennon search - you're probably as fed up with it as I am.

I am starting to think that the family were not living in England for most of the time. Maybe if Thomas was a registered Stevedore he was working and living from Ireland or America. Either something like that or he had a complete disregard for government bureaucracy with their silly questions every 10 years. He wouldn't be the first in the family  .

Is there any way of accessing electoral rolls for this time?

Goodnight and thanks Simone - try not to let this keep you awake.

Hi Sue

No, wasn't meaning he has anything to do with John Lemon. :D John Bradly is a witness at the wedding. It just seemed coincidental that John Bradly was on same page as Thomas Lemon, and marriage 1846 is in name of Thomas Lemon. :? Although this Thomas Lemon is too old

Go where :? :?

Thomas is a Lennon masquerading as a Lemon. Peter is a Lennon but could really be Tom, Dick or Harry Lennon, Lemon, Linnon, Lannen, Lonnan, Leaman

Think we've all lost it now
