Patrick Quinn & Louisa Thompson
Patrick Quinn & Louisa Thompson
Re- Patrick Quinn,
This post can be found through Mary's signature FB link.
I was hoping for more information from the 1923 marriage cert, Patrick Quinn/Louisa Thompson, not yet received, here are my thoughts while they are fresh in my mind, I can always dump them if misleading.
The 1925 Electoral Roll shows Patrick and Louisa Quinn living in Field Street, Liverpool. The 1920 Electoral Roll has a Mary Ann Quinn and Patrick Quinn also living in Field St and in 1925, Mary Ann Quinn still living in Field St alone.
Searching for a Patrick Quinn born 1889 and a mother Mary Ann Quinn, results, 1911 census, living with James Maloney and family, 26 Back Salisbury St,
Mary Ann Quinn, 45, Bn Liverpool,
Richard Quinn, 14, Liverpool,
Patrick Quinn, 22, Liverpool.
The above Richard Quinn was born Richard Bramwell, 1897, to Mary Ann Bramwell, confirmed by GRO registration and Catholic Baptism, baptism also records his later marriage, 1919.
Mary Ann Bramwell married Thomas Andrew Quinn, 1902 Liverpool and it appears Richard took on his name, Quinn, also possibly Patrick, though a bit more difficult to prove as yet.
Thomas Andrew Quinn had married previously in 1875 to Ann Gorman, Liverpool, they can be traced through various census.
Thomas Andrew Quinn born 1854, Lincoln. Birth registered as, QUIN.
Ann Quinn nee Gorman possibly died March 1902,
It doesn't appear they had any children.

Re: Angie Critchley, FB
Any thoughts on what's been included between Thomas and Quinn.
I believe his middle name was Andrew and yet the translation for Andrew is Sed Vestibulum.
I wonder if it's another version of Andrew?

Re: Angie Critchley, FB
It's an RC marriage, they usually include the mother too.
Thomas et=and Maria Quinn (nee Bramwell)

Re: Angie Critchley, FB
Hello,
I have just been able to register
Thank you Bert and Mary for assisting me in this.
I have started to look at what Bertieone has already found and I hope to build on this and search for Patricks birth records.
Maybe Thomas Quinn was the biological father of both Patrick and Richard and he married Mary Ann after his first wife passed away.
Many thanks
Angie

Re: Angie Critchley, FB
Hello,
Sorry it’s been a while I’ve had issues trying to log in for quite a while.
I’ve not been able to find any further information on Patrick,Mary Ann and Richard so still at a loss.
I found Richard possible birth in the Workhouse in 1897 -was this a Hospital then ?
I had a theory that maybe Patrick and Richard were Thomas Quinn’s biological sons ?
Any help/ guidance appreciated
Thanks
Angela

Re: Angie Critchley, FB
Yes, workhouses could have an infirmary attached.
It's difficult to prove who the fathers were, Richard is unlikely to have a father mentioned on the birth cert and Patrick doesn't appear to have one under the name Quinn with Bramwell as mothers maiden name, or variation of Bramwell.
Proof exists that Richard is Mary Ann's, I can't find proof from where Patrick stems.

Re: Patrick Quinn & Louisa Thompson
Thanks Bert ,
He remains an enigma like his son my biological father
I will keep searching
Do you have any other tips for me in my search?
I was trying to find them all on 1901 census but couldn't find any trace.
Thanks

Re: Patrick Quinn & Louisa Thompson
Angie,
Unfortunately there's nothing going for you, I'm sure we have all looked in the usual places and without a baptism or birth cert we can't be sure who Patrick belongs to. I couldn't find any of them in 1901, it appears they have been missed off.
Perhaps put it to bed for a few months and see if anymore baptisms come online.

Re: Patrick Quinn & Louisa Thompson
During lockdown I have been collating the up to date list of RC churches online, with the years for baptisms and marriages, another member has been doing the C of E. These lists should be complete now for what was scanned by Ancestry last year. I don't believe that they will do any more than these as they have done a large update rather than mopping up the bits and pieces.
I don't see any missing on the list that would cover that area.

Re: Patrick Quinn & Louisa Thompson
Thanks Mary,
I’m beginning to think Patrick May have been a middle name?
I’m clutching at straws probably
