Thanks Mary I remember seeing the evacuees picture.
I don't remember the building on the right (7 Neilson Rd it would be) but it could have been where our head teacher was based.

I thought the guy in the bottom picture was Elvis! Ha.

Sorry - ignore the bottom picture, I've been told that the "Returning Hero" was to the St Michael's in the City, not the Hamlet one, my mistake, but I'm sure you will forgive since I don't know the school myself (either one) and just did my best.
