Can anyone tell me if the Ancestry site has these records, and if so what term or phrase do I access it with please.
Many thanks
Unitarian Chapel Renshaw Street Liverpool Burials
Re: Unitarian Chapel Renshaw Street Liverpool Burials
I don't believe so, usually I enter "Liverpool Burials" in the keyword box on the Card Catalogue page and choose either C of E or RC and if looking for a specific place then use the drop down list to the right. They don't seem to list any non Conformist Registers.
I can ask while I'm at the RO this afternoon but would prefer to be armed with a name and date.
A question I always wonder - would it be a register of the service taking place or did they actually have a graveyard?
Also how have you come across the entry for this specific Chapel?

Re: Unitarian Chapel Renshaw Street Liverpool Burials
Hi Mary,
Yes the graveyard was behind the chapel.
Someone found me 3 daughters of William buried in grave 22 before I hade William the fathers death.
I am Looking for a William Hallowell died 28 Sep 1851 buried in grave 22
Also he had a young son William born 1826 but was not alive in 1828 so he may also be in grave 22.
I know Hallowell can be spelt in several ways but these dates are spot on.
Thanks Mary

Re: Unitarian Chapel Renshaw Street Liverpool Burials
Interesting that two of the children were reinterred from a Poor grave to the family one the family's finances must have improved over the years.
I have a number of scans too many to upload here so will email this evening.
Just a thought are you connected with Sue Hallowell a long time society member and a member of our Facebook group?

Re: Unitarian Chapel Renshaw Street Liverpool Burials
Hello Mary,
Many thanks for your excellent help in this matter.
Very interesting that two of the children were re interred from a Poor grave.
I wonder when this happened, as the father William was a fruiterer from 1822-32 prior to this date he was a coachman.
I look forward to seeing your data collected.
No Mary I do not have a Sue in the family that I know of.
Thanking you again
David

Re: Unitarian Chapel Renshaw Street Liverpool Burials
You're welcome, looking up a non Conformist Register was a bit of a learning curve for me and also getting to handle the original was lovely.
