Childrens homes Liverpool

A family member so unhappy at home when father remarried put herself into a children's home when she was 15 in 1929 in Liverpool how can I find children homes in 1929

Information here http://www.childrenshomes.org.uk/ or http://www.workhouses.org.uk/, if RC was a possibility then enquire about the Nugent Care documents at the Record Office.

However if she was 15 I doubt she would have entered as an inmate but perhaps as a servant of some kind.
