Cemetery Records
Hi again Blue, this one is slightly off tangent for workhouse but would you know if there are any records of who is buried in the “paupers/public” grave in Anfield please and do you know it’s site in the grounds, I have the cemetery map but don’t have the section numbers. Thanks, Keltis
Re: Cemetary records
As far as I can gather there are no sections exclusively designated for public burials. I might be wrong if so someone please correct me. Pauper burials are to do with the payment side of things. One of my ancestors is buried in a public grave in CE 11 near to a row of gravestones within that section. Some of the spaces you see within sections will probably be for public graves.Keltis wrote: ↑27 Aug 2018 12:58Hi again Blue, this one is slightly off tangent for workhouse but would you know if there are any records of who is buried in the “paupers/public” grave in Anfield please and do you know it’s site in the grounds, I have the cemetery map but don’t have the section numbers. I believe that is the case Blue, I had to count both headstones and spaces between when getting to my grandfather's grave (unmarked).
