I have looked at the website which lists burials at Toxteth Park cemetery, Smithdown Road, but did not see his name. Have you tried the Echo for any possible announcement about the death, which might have details of the funeral? You would have to go to the Central Library and look through films as the papers themselves will probably not exist. You might have to try filmed records of various cemeteries, too.

I've put it on my list to try and look up a couple of places on my next visit, but it won't be until next week.

Hi :)
Have you tried Allerton Cem? My grandmother was from just off Smithdown Rd by Toxteth cem, but she was buried at Allerton in 1943.
