Marriage of William Taylor and Ellen Bolton

Post by JohnnyO »

Hi all. I have a marriage of William Taylor to Ellen Bolton at Walton on the Hill on 15th Feb 1892. I'm trying to find out details of the birth of Margaret Bolton Taylor, who was born at 15 Albany Road Aintree on 31st Dec 1886. This would obviously be 6 years before they married! GRO has this: BOLTON, MARGARET
GRO Reference: 1887 M Quarter in WEST DERBY Volume 08B Page 430. No mother's name.

I cannot find a record of Margaret Taylor being born around then with a mother's maiden name of Bolton. I have a copy of Margaret's wedding Banns to my great uncle Thomas Orrett on 10th May 1908. I can't find a wedding certificate anywhere online. Lancashire BMD has a record of the marriage but just wondering if there was any way of viewing without buying a certificate.

I cannot find her in the 1891 census either.

I just really want to prove the parents of Margaret.

Thanks as ever, John

Many thanks Mary :D . Wonder where both canal bridges were? Looking at my tree today I have Cooksons down the line, who were publicans at the Tailors Arms in Ford. Presume that is where the bridge got its name, and what the Cookson's Bridge pub used to be called.

You could ask the Bootle forum about the canal bridges, they know a lot about the canals around there.
