Hi I'm hoping someone can help me...
I'm looking for William James Dawson born 13th Aug 1895 11 westcott road although have seen his DOB as 1896 as well.
He was my granny's older brother and i understand he was very dear to her, the family story is that he was gassed in WW1
I can't find any military records nor a marriage or death
Equally confusing is that my dad couldn't remember him and thought he died due to his injuries, but another family member thought that he was alive in the 1930s possibly later....
could any one help please?
thank you
That's him! his dad was james dawson 1860-1924 and mother ellen weston every 1866-1947 , he had 2 brothers who both died very young and 8 sisters including granny in 1901
does anyone know if i can find out about his military service?
also his death....if you run a search for james dawson b 1895 deaths there are hundreds...i don't really want to have to order all of them to check eek!
thank you
